Elias Ruth E 020620 p5 Ruth Eseudero Elias, 85; Final rites will be held here Friday for Patterson resident Ruth Escudero Elias, who died Sunday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock of natural causes. She was 85. She was a native of Silver City, NM, and had lived in Patterson the past 24 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also was a volunteer worker for the. Salvation Army. A vigil will be held today (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with a Mass to be held Friday at 11 a.m., also at the church. Burial in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery near Santa Nella will follow. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Hillview Funeral Chapel of Patterson is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Rufino E.Elias of Patterson; a son, Rufino Rudolph Elias of San Jose; three daughters, Helen Kimbark of Toluca Lake, Soffie Rodriguez of San Jose, and Rose Mary Henry of Bend, Ore.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Mike, Johnny and Anthony Joseph Escudero; and four sisters, Evangeline Escudero,. Henrietta Bazan, Nelly Flores and Vera Luque. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Bryant.
