Services for Rev. Ellis to be Tuesday; Grayson - Services will be held Tuesday morning for Rev. Sam Ellis, 65, of
Grayson who died suddenly last Thursday while visiting a son in Eureka. Rev. William 0.Vickery, general superintendent
of the Northern California and Nevada district of the Assemblies of God, will officiate the 11 a.m. service at the Westley
Assembly of God Church in Grayson.  Rev. Ellis was pastor of the same church for 15 years until retirement. A native of
Oklahoma, he moved to this area in 1941 from that state. He resided in Merced and Stanislaus counties continuously
since that time with the exception of five years spent in San Jose.  He also was pastor of the Denair Assembly of God
Church for three years. Interment will be in the Grayson cemetery. Rev. Ellis is survived by his wife Sue of Grayson;
four sons, Nathan of San Jose, Wiley of Eureka, Don of Silver Thorn, Colorado, and David of Lebanon, Oregon; and 11
grandchildren.
