Lillian Elston, 79;  A retired nurse who worked at both the Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson and Westside Community
Hospital in Newman has died.  Lillian R Elston died Monday at Memorial North Hospital in Modesto.  She was 79.  A
native of New York, she had lived in Newman for 48 years.  She was a member of the New Era Grange of Gustine and
Women of the Moose in Newman.  A funeral service will held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel in
Newman.  Burial will follow in Hills Ferry Cemetery in that city.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at
the chapel.  Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Parker of Modesto; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;
and a brother, Richard Rosemire of Gustine.
