Engelhardt Fred J 010612 p10 Fred Joseph Engelhardt, 65; Former Patterson resident Fred Joseph Engelhardt died June 2 in North Carolina of injuries received several weeks earlier in an auto crash. He was 65. He died at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC., of multiple injuries. A memorial service was held last Friday at the United Methodist Church in Oriental, NC., the city where he made his home after moving from Patterson some two years ago. He was an engineer by profession and had worked here for the Ogden Corp. on Fink Road west of Crows Landing. He previously had worked in the state of Washington. Oregon, Hawaii, and Taiwan and was a very skilled craftsman. He also enjoyed the out-of-doors. He was a member of the Oriental United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shelley Engelhardt of Oriental; sons Rex of Cape Coral, Fla., and Craig Engelhardt of St. Petersberg, Ha.; two daughters, Amanda Deemer of Dayton, Ohio, and Emily Buford of Turlock; four grandchildren, Noah Erigethardt and Reed, Nolan and Sage Deemer; and a brother, Robert Engelhardt of Brick, NJ.
