One Dead in Crash on West Main; Alfonso Perez Erivez, 22, of Patterson was killed early Saturday morning in a
single car accident on West Main about a mile west of its intersection with Crows Landing Road. The car
apparently went out of control and overturned.  CHP officers found him dead at the scene after he was thrown
from the vehicle. Another person in the car, Feliz Medina, 27, was taken to Scenic Hospital in Modesto for
treatment of facial lacerations.  Javier Salazar, 23, was not injured.  Both are from Patterson. The car was
westbound and went off the roadway, according to CHP.  It then swerved back across the road, hit an
embankment on the other side and rolled over. Because of conflicting stories, officers at the scene could not
determine who was driving the vehicle. The deceased was a native of Cuauhtemoc, Mexico, where services will
be held.  He had lived here four years, and was employed by Patterson Frozen Foods as a bean viner. He is
survived by his parents in Mexico and a brother, Raul Erivez of Modesto.  Arrangements were handled by Evans
Funeral Chapel.
