Rosalyn V. Escobar, 72;  Newman resident Rosalyn V.  Escobar died last Saturday at her daughters residence in Gustine.
She was 72.  A native of Antioch, she had lived in Newman the past 53 years and was a homemaker.  She was a member
of St. Joachim s Catholic Church in Newman  A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel in
Newman.  A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joachim s Church. with burial in Hills Ferry Cemetery to
follow.  Survivors include her husband, Joseph Escobar of Newman; two sons, Richard of Logan, Utah and Paul Escobar
of Boise. Idaho; four daughters, Carolyn Escobar of Assisi, Italy, Lynnette Escobar of Tuscan, Ariz., Kathryn Escobar-
Sanders of Boise, and Janyce Escobar-Puppo of Gustine; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Phyllis Breves of Patterson
and Mary Oliveira of Gustine.  Remembrances should be sent to Hospice of Merced, P.O. Box 763, Merced. Calif 95341;
