Benito Perez Garcia

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 27, for Benito Perez Garcia 
of Patterson, who died Thursday, Jan. 21, at Riverbank Nursing Center in Riverbank.
Mr. Garcia, 68, was a native of Sebastian, Texas, and lived in Patterson 34 years.
Mr. Garcia worked as an electrical contractor for 30 years. He was a parishioner of 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson and a member of the Tejano Club, 
Guadalupano Cursillista.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Eva Garcia of Patterson; sons, Cruz Garcia of 
Bakersfield and Noel Garcia of Patterson; sister, Delia Alvarez of Visalia; 13 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Benito Garcia Jr. and Gus Garcia.
The Mass was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by burial in Patterson 
District Cemetery. Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson, is
