Demetrio R. Garcia, 75;  Final rites will be held here Thursday for former Patterson resident Demetrio R. Garcia.  He
died last Thursday at his residence in Modesto. He was 75.  A native of Cinton, Texas, he had lived in the Modesto-
Patterson area the past 35 years. He was employed in agriculture and was a member of St Jude's Catholic Church in
Ceres.  He also organized and played in his own band for many years.  A vigil service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here. A Mass is scheduled at the church for 10 am Thursday, with burial in Patterson
District Cemetery to follow.  Visitation will precede the vigil from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Hillview Funeral Chapel is in
charge of the arrangements.  Survivors include his wife, Demetria Garcia of Modesto; a son, Demetrio Garcia II of
Modesto; six daughters, Ramona Ochoa. Guadalupe Salazar and Maria Bazan, all of Modesto. Teresa Luna of Shamrock,
Texas, Lucy Vasquez of Ceres, and Gloria Bautista of Stockton; 31 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren: and a
sister. Aurora Espinoza of Fresno.
