Pioneer of County Receives Last Call; W. L. Watson received the sad intelligence last week of the death in Fresno of his
grandmother Mrs. Bertha Gatzaman, one of�the pioneers of Stanislaus county, who spent 60 years of her life within its
boundaries.  At the time of Mrs. Gatzaman's death she was residing with Mr. Watson's parents, but the interment took
place in Modesto, where the funeral was largely attended by pioneers from all parts of the county.  In the early days Mrs.
Gatzaman lived in and about Oakdale, where two of her sons yet reside.
