A. Gefke Dies at Santa Cruz; Andrew Gefke, a West Side resident for some sixty years before moving to Santa Cruz to
make his home two years ago, passed away Saturday in a hospital at that city.  He resided near the Las Palmas pump
station before moving to Santa Cruz. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Newman in the Davis Chapel, with Rev.
H.  J. von Renner, pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, conducting the rites.  Interment followed in Hills Ferry
Cemetery. A native of Denmark, Gefke was 80 years old.  He farmed for many years in the Newman and Gustine area
before coming to Patterson. He was the uncle of Mrs. Peter Hansen and Theodore Hansen, both of Newman, and the great
uncle of Earl and LeRoy Hansen of San Francisco.
