Maria S. George Buried Here Today; Mrs. Maria S. George of Crows Landing passed away late Sunday eve after a long
illness.  Mrs. George was a native of the Azores and a resident of Crows Landing for the past 25 years.  She was 55 years
old. Her survivors are: her husband, Antonio F. George, three sons, Tony and Manuel of Crows Landing and Joseph of
Merced, two daughters Mary Ann of Crows Landing and Mrs. Everett Souza of Newman, two brothers Manuel R.
Furtado and Joe H. Furtado both of San Luis Obispo. Funeral service will be this morning in Newman at 9:30 a.m.  High
mass will take plate at the Catholic Church in Crows Landing at 10:00 a.m.  Internment will follow in St. Mary s
Cemetery.
