Richard Gerety, Jr.
June 16, 1956 � Jan. 3, 2007
Services will be Monday for former Patterson resident Richard Gerety Jr. of 
Ahwatukee, Ariz., who died Wednesday in Chandler, Ariz. 
Mr. Gerety, 50, was born in San Diego, the oldest son of Richard Gerety and 
Loretta Walker. He grew up in Santa Cruz and Upland and was a graduate of 
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He lived in Patterson for a few 
years early in his marriage. 
Mr. Gerety is survived by his wife, Vicky Lara Gerety of Phoenix; daughter, 
Heather Gerety, and son, Richard Gerety III, both of Phoenix; stepmother, Martha 
Gerety of Upland; brother, James Gerety of Midland, Texas; and sisters, Sara 
Ellen Gerety-Pauley of Corona and Annette Gerety- Hawley of Wrightstown, Wis. 
Mr. Gerety loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his family and his career as owner of an 
insurance agency. His family said his devotion to his family and his love of 
Arizona�s monsoon weather brought joy to his heart, and he will be missed.
Monday�s funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. 
Dobson Road, in Mesa, Ariz. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday 
at the mortuary.
