Final Rites for Winfleld Giddings; Final rites were conducted at 10 am, yesterday in Evans Chapel for Sam Winfield
Giddings, 71, who died of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning. Rev. Albert Foster, pastor of the Federated Church.
officiated and interment was in Del Puerto Cemetery. A native of Kentucky, Giddings had lived five years in this area, an
employee at the T. C. Daily ranch north of Westley.  He had been a ranch worker for the Daily family in Southern
California the previous 40 years. He leaves a brother, R. L. Giddings, of Gustine and 13 brothers and sisters in the
Midwest. Giddings was found lying beside his tractor in an alfalfa field, apparently having been stricken while operating
it.
