Velma Giles, 88;  A Patterson woman, Velma Giles, died July 20 at San Luis Convalescent Hospital in Newman.  She
was 88.  She was a native of Texas and had lived in Modesto and Patterson the past 38 years. She was a home-maker.  No
public services were held. She was survived by a daughter, Shirley Esselman of Wisconsin.
