Gill John M 951107 p12 John Martin Gill. 63; A Mass is scheduled for this Thursday in Turlock for John Martin Gill who died last Thursday at his residence in that city. He was 63. A native of Gustine, he was raised on the West Side and graduated from Modesto Junior College. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea and was a member of VFW Post 5059 in Turlock for 39 years. He served as a driver training instructor for both the Hughson and Turlock school districts and also was a bus driver for both districts. He was a member of the Turlock Police Reserve for the past 20 years and was a 50-year member of S.E.S. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, where visitation is scheduled Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, where he was a member. Burial in Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, will follow. Survivors include his mother, Mary C. Gill of Gustine; a brother, Frank Gill of Patterson; and three sisters, Elsie Dutra and Eleanor Salsa of Gustine and Hilda Menard of Turlock. Remembrances should be sent to Hospice of Emanuel, P.O.
