Gill Thomas Jr 770120 no Oakley Services Friday for Thomas Gill Jr.; Rosary will be recited tonight, Thursday, at 8 p.m. in the Higgins Funeral Home, Antioch, for Thomas Gill Jr. of Bethel Island, 53, who died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinez. Mass of Christian burial will be said at St. Anthony s Catholic Church in Oakley at 1p.m. on Friday with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Oakley. Gill was a native of Oakley, attended grammar school in Westley and grad- uated from Patterson High School in l942. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Following the war he returned for a brief time to Patterson before moving to eastern Contra Costa County where he has continued to make his home. He was in the nursery business with his family and operated the Antioch Evergreen Nursery. He is survived by his wife, Millie Gill of Bethel Island; a son, Tim Gill of Hartford, Wisconsin; two daughters, Sandy Roper and Debbie Gill, both of Bethel Island; two grandchildren; his mother, Antoinette Gill and a brother, Bill Gill, both of Oakley.
