A. J. Gonsalves Dies in Newman; A requiem mass will be said this morning, Thursday, in the Sacred Heart Church at 10
a.m. for Antonio Joseph Gonsalves, 80, who died Sunday in a Newman convalescent home.  Burial will be in Turlock
Memorial Park. A native of the Azores, Gonsalves had lived in Turlock for 57 years.  He was a retired farmer. Survivors
include a daughter-in-law, Ida  Tosta of Westley; two step-children, Adeline Silva of Turlock, and Morris Gonsalves of
the Bay Area; and two grandchildren.
