Gonsalves Manuel J 930907 p9 Manuel J. Gonsalves, 66; A rosary is this evening for Manuel Joseph Gonsalves, who died at Del Puerto Hospital on Friday. He was 66. Visitation starts a 4 p.m. today at Saint Joachim's Church in Newman and continues until the rosary at 7. A mass is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Joachim's. Interment will be at Hills-Ferry Cemetery in Newman. Gonsalves, born in Newman, lived in Crows Landing all of his life and spent his career as a farmer. He served on the board of directors of the Central California Irrigation District, was past president of Crows Landing Lions Club, a member of Knights of Columbus in Newman and a member of Saint Joachim's. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Gonsalves of Crows Landing; children, David Gonsalves and Donald Gonsalves, both of Crows Landing, Kathy Filippini of Gustine, and Maryana Smith of Santa Clarita; a sister, Louise Gaudhier of Newman; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
