Gonzales Teresa 661006 p1 Crash Kills Local Woman; Final rites were conducted Tuesday in Evans Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Mary Teresa Gonzales, 31, who was fatally injured in an auto accident last Thursday night. The accident occurred at the intersection of Carpenter Road and West Main. Interment was in the Patterson District Cemetery. Mrs. Gonzales had lived here for 20 years; she was a native of California. She is survived by her husband, Richard; one son, Ralph; three daughters, Cristina, Monica, and Teresa; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alejandro Reza of Patterson; five brothers, Armando Reza, Manuel Reza, Leonard Reza, Johnnie Reza, and Michael Reza, all of Patterson; six sisters, Louisa and Connie Gonzales and Alejandria Reza, all of Patterson, Amelia Reza, Carmen Reza, and Bertha Reza, all of Hollywood. Mrs. Gonzales was dead on arrival at Del Puerto Hospital following the auto accident. She was a passenger in a car driven by her sister, Alejandrina Reza, 22, of Patterson. Their car was struck by a pickup truck driven by William Mealey, 29, of Modesto. Mealey is a field superintendent for Western Contracting Co. The CHP said Mealey ran a stop sign and rammed into the Reza car. Miss Reza suffered head injuries and lacerations. She was taken to the county hospital. Mealey suffered a head injury and scalp laceration and was taken to Doctors Hospital in Modesto.
