A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Sofia Gonzalez of Patterson, who died Friday, Sept. 
18, at Memorial Medical Center in  Modesto.
Mrs. Gonzalez, 67, was a native of Mexico and lived  in Patterson for 30 years. She worked as a 
day care assistant for 20 years and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. 
She enjoyed playing bingo. 
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her sons, Juan Gonzalez of Westley and Ernesto Gonzalez, Alfredo 
Gonzalez and Eric Gonzalez, all of Patterson; daughter, Nancy Gonzalez of Patterson; parents ,Isabel 
and Angelica Gonzalez of Texas; brothers, Eleazar Salinas, Greg Salinas, Ricardo Salinas and Roy 
Salinas, all of Texas; sister, Blanca Gonzalez of Texas; and 16 grandchildren 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Gonzalez, and a brother, Roque Salinas.
Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Sept 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Burial 
followed in Patterson District Cemetery.
 Hillview Funeral Chapel of Patterson, 450 Las Palmas Ave., handled arrangements.
