Samuel Goodhue Dies at Age 84;  Retired school teacher Samuel Gilman Goodhue III died here last Wednesday.  He was
84.  A native of San Mateo, he moved here from his native city two months ago.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge,
Toastmasters International, and Ducks Unlimited, all of San Mateo.  A prayer service was held Sunday afternoon at
Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson.  Inurnment will be today, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in St. John Cemetery in San Mateo.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Phillips of Patterson; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two
sisters, Georgiana Atwell of Sebastopol and Clarice Balantine of Meadow Vista.  The family requests that remembrances
be sent to the Del Puerto Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 187, Patterson.
