Suicide Found Parked in Car on Ellery Ranch; The Stanislaus County Sheriff s Department is investigating the suicide of
Roy Lee Gray, 48, of Texas, who was found in a parked car on the Henry Ellery Ranch west of Westley at 9 a.m.
Tuesday. A man irrigating on the ranch Monday saw Gray, alive, sitting on the car at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, with the
car still parked there, the man investigated, saw Gray s body and called the sheriff s office. Inspector Sgt. Gagnebin and
Jim Elliott of the identification bureau investigated. They found Gray had shot himself in the head with a .38 revolver.
Gray was a cook at the Westley Hotel.  Services are pending at Salas Bros. Chapel in Modesto. Among the survivors are
two brothers, Earl and Ed, and a son, Arnold Leroy, all of Modesto.
