Greer John A 630620 p1 Funeral Services Today for John A. Greer; Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, for John Alfred Greer 83, who died suddenly in his Modesto home Sunday. The services will be held in Evans Funeral Chapel with the Rev. C. A. Johnson, pastor of the Modesto United Pentecostal church officiating. Johnson will be assisted by the Rev. C. S. O'Shields, pastor of the South Modesto Assembly of God church Interment will be in Del Puerto Cemetery. Greer was a native of Indiana and had lived in Stanislaus county 34 years. For several years he farmed in the Patterson-Westley area. He was also a retired minister of the Apostolic Holiness church, having served 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Delia of Modesto; four sons, David of Tamoa, Florida; Wesley of Dallas, Texas; Jason of Redwood Estates and Rudolph of Fresno; four daughters, Mrs. Rosie Rhodes and Mrs. Mayme Black both of Ceres, Mrs. Mary Bingham of Modesto and Mrs. Leona Thompson of Peoria, Arizona; three bothers, Tom of Stockton, Horace of Modesto and Bennie of Nobleville, Indiana; one sister Mrs. Virgie Stone of Modesto; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
