Suspected Foul Play Victim Found in Canal:  A Modesto man found in the California Aqueduct west of Patterson may
have been a victim of foul play. Thirty seven year old Wayne Earl Grider had been reported missing for nearly a month
until his decomposed body was spotted around noon last Wednesday by a state canal tender. Grider s hands were tied
behind his back leading county sheriff homicide detectives to speculate he was murdered. Identity was made though
finger prints and papers found in the victim's pockets.  Grider was reported, missing Jan.27. His abandoned pickup truck
was found the next day in Modesto.
