Grunstad Roy J 720727 np
Roy Grunstad Dies in Norway; Services are pending at Evans Funeral Chapel for Roy John Grunstad, 81, who died of a
heart attack Saturday in Porsgrunn, Norway.  Mr. Grunstad left here July 3 with his son, Bill Grunstad of Sonora, and a
group of other Patterson people for a tour of Norway. A native of that Scandinavian country, he emigrated to Chicago,
Illinois in 1926, and moved west to Patterson in 1930.  He was employed here by the Patterson Water District and by
Golden Valley  Creamery, and.  also was a retired rancher.  He was a member of the Sons of Norway. Surviving him are
his wife, Agnes Grunstad of 219 East Las Palmas Ave.; one other son, Ragnar Grunstad of Patterson; a daughter, Mrs.
Evelyn Yowell of Modesto, two brothers in Norway; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Grunstad Rites to be Friday; Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Chapel for Roy John
Grunstad, 81, who died of a heart attack July 22 in Porsgrunn Norway, while visiting in that country.  Burial will be in
Patterson District Cemetery.
