Former Resident Dies at Folsom; Services were held Friday in Fair Oaks for Merel Halcomb, 65, who died Feb. 11 at
Folsom.  Interment was in Mt. Vernon national Cemetery, Fair Oaks. Mrs. Halcomb lived in Patterson during the early
1940s and continued to be a frequent visitor here after her change of residence. She is survived by her husband, Fred
Halcomb of Folsom; her mother, Mrs. Harriet Blinn of Patterson; two sons, Robert L. of Carmichael and John Halcomb
of Sacramento; three daughters, Donna Del Nero of Patterson, Vynita Rose of Turlock, and Betty Williams of Lakehead;
a sister, Mrs. Marry Carlson of Patterson; and 12 grandchildren.
