Passing of Early Settler Yesterday; Mrs Mary Hammarstrand, who has resided on Pomelo Avenue since 1911, passed
away at her home yesterday morning following an extended illness. A native of Finland, she was 79 years of age.
She is survived by three sons; William of El Cerrito and Jehu and Ben of Patterson. Funeral services will he held at the
Evans Chapel with Rev. C. A. Nylund officiating, followed by interment in Del Puerto Cemetery, but the time had not
been set at this writing.
