Death Ends Illness of L. E. Hanson; Lewis E. Hanson, pioneer Patterson resident, passed away at an early hour Friday
morning, following a long illness.  Born in Sweden in 1862, Mr. Hanson came to Minnesota in 1879 and resided in that
state until he came to Patterson in 1911.  Seven children survive him.  Four by his first marriage are Mrs. George. Miller,
Walter of Oakland, Fred of Newport, Rhode Island, and Elmer of Minnesota, Joseph of Oakland and Julian and Alin, the
younger children residing here, are the children of his second marriage, his wife passing away several years ago. Funeral
services were held Sunday afternoon with Rev. H. E. Nordquist conducting the services, assisted by Dr. G. A. Werner.  A
large attendance of friends of the deceased was present and followed the remains to their last resting place in  Del Puerto
cemetery.
