Harmon Vern T 590813 p1 Final Rites Held For Tom Harmon; Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Evans Chapel for Vern Thomas Harmon, 63, retired farmer who passed away Friday night at Del Puerto Hospital following a lengthy illness Rev. Rodney Houts of Denair Friends Church officiated. Interment was at Turlock Cemetery. He was a native of English Grove, Minn., and a World War I veteran, serving with the 385th aerial squadron. Harmon ranched in the Westley district for many years. He was a charter member of the Patterson Rotary Club, a director of the Kern Canyon Water District, a member of the West Side Sportsmen s Club, Farm Bureau, California Cattlemen's Association and Del Rio Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Helen; four brothers, H. C. Harmon of Patterson, R. W. Harmon and M. L. Harmon of Denair, W. S. Harmon of Atwater; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Waring of Greenfield and Mrs. Leliala Peck of Seattle.
