Evelyn Rose Harter, 83;  Evelyn Rose Harter, who worked as a waitress for several Patterson restaurants, over the years,
died last Friday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.  She was 83.  A service will be held today, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at
the Patterson Covenant Church. Burial will be in Winner, S.D.  Hillview Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born in Rosebud, S.D., and had lived in Patterson for 37 years. Besides working as a waitress, she was a
volunteer at the St. Vincent dePaul Thrift Store.  Survivors include her husband, Fred Harter of Patterson; a son, Marvin
Burnette of Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Joann Testerman of Patterson; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a
brother Chester Janis of Oakley; and a sister, Lillian Boltz of Oregon.  Remembrances should be sent to the American
