Marion Pauline Hector of Westley, a long-time resident of the West Side, died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center in
Modesto of natural causes.  She was 86.  A native of Richmond, she had lived in the Patterson-Westley area for 56 years.
The homemaker served as bookkeeper for Hector Bros. for many years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church. A rosary will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson, and a Mass is scheduled for
Saturday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial in Patterson District Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be Friday
from 5-7 p.m. at the chapel. Survivors include Catherine Mahaffey of Westley and two grandchildren. She was preceded
in death in 1996 by her husband, Walter Hector. Remembrances may be sent to YLI, in care of Sacred Heart Church, 529
I St., Patterson; or to PRIDE (the local nonprofit scholarship organization), P0 Box 1543, Patterson.
