Hendricks Robert T 620906 p1 Railroad Man Found Dead Here; Robert T. Hendricks, former resident agent for the Southern Pacific railroad in Patterson, was found dead in the depot early Monday morning. Mr. Hendricks, 37, had been resident agent here since February. However, he was recently discharged by the railroad. He had been with Southern Pacific for 16 years. Mr. Hendricks was found by his brother, Martin, of Modesto, about 7:30 a.m. Monday in a room on the second floor of the depot. When he was found, it was assumed he had been dead for two or three days. His family had not been able to locate him for several days. Death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the chest. A revolver and sealed notes to his parents, wife, and son were found nearby. Mr. Hendricks is survived by his parents of Modesto, his wife Marsha, and son, Mike, of Sacramento. Funeral arrangements were handled from Modesto.
