Requiem Mass, Military Rites for Hernandez; Rosary was recited Sunday night at Evans Funeral Chapel for Sp.4
Demetrius L. Hernandez, 23, who died October 8 of gunshot wounds suffered in combat in Vietnam. Requiem mass was
said at 3 p.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment was in the Patterson District Cemetery. In addition to
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio G. Hernandez, he leaves one brother, Jesse, of Patterson and four sisters, Paula
Hernandez of Patterson, Mrs. Elvira Bouchet of Turlock, Mrs. Ermilla Segura of Manteca and Mrs. Soila Alderita of
Fresno. Military pallbearers, honor guard, and bugler for the military funeral were provided from Ft. Ord.
