Jose Hernandez Service Today:  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, for Jose Hernandez, 82. He
died Sunday at Emmanuel Hospital in Turlock after a long illness. A native of Mexico, he had lived in the Westley area
the past 22 years, moving here from Texas. He had been employed as a farm laborer for Bravo Farms. He was a member
of the Apostolic Movement Church in Grayson, where the service will be held with Samuel Hidalgo officiating. A wake
was held at the church Wednesday evening. Burial will be in Patterson District Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Jose
Hernandez Jr. of Texas; two daughters, Esperanza Trevino of Westley and Carmen Lages of Texas; 14 grandchildren, and
five great grandchildren
