Dyan Shugart Hicks   July 12, 1937 � March 17, 2006
A celebration of life will be Sunday for Dyan Shugart Hicks, 68, of Crows Landing, who died Friday at her home.
Mrs. Hicks was a native of Bakersfield and had lived in Crows Landing 45 years.  She was a librarian at the Turlock
Public Library 20 years.  She was a graduate of Escalon High School and a graduate of Modesto Junior College, where
she earned her associate's degree.  Mrs. Hicks enjoyed gardening, reading and working crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.
She loved playing with her grandchildren and traveling to Lake Tahoe with her dear friend, Patty Crow, and to Sea Cliff
Beach in Aptos with her family.  Mrs. Hicks is survived by her children, David Hicks, and his wife, Rachel, and Debra
Davis, and her husband, Sam, all of Crows Landing, Dennis Hicks of Santa Cruz and Donnie Hicks, and his wife, Sharon,
of Modesto; brother, Bob Shugart, and his wife, Diane, of Ukiah; grandchildren, Frankie Hicks, Zachary Hicks, Nichole
Davis, Chelsea Hicks, and Jimmy Hicks, and his wife, Brandi; and great-grandchild, Kilee Hicks.  Sunday's celebration
of life will begin at 1 p.m. at the Hicks family home in Crows Landing.  Contributions in Mrs. Hicks' name may be sent
to Hospice of Emanuel Hospital, P.O. Box 819005, Turlock 95381.
