Hill Calvin S 160812 p1 Calvin S. Hill Was Well known Here; Calvin S. Hill of Fresno, who died at St. Luke's Hospital, San Francisco, last Monday night, was at one time a Patterson colony land owner. He was an intimate friend of the late T. W. Patterson. and had a number of friends here who admired his sterling qualities. Mr. Hill was one of Fresno's popular citizens. He served the people on the police and fire commission and was a director of the Fresno National Bank. He was the San Joaquin Valley representative of the Union Ice Company and agent for the Associated Oil Company. He belonged to the Masonic and other fraternities. He was a native of Ohio, 42 years of age. He leaves his wife and mother, the latter having sacrificed her own blood in the effort to save her son's life. The funeral services were conducted in Oakland Thursday by Rev. Thomas Boyd of Fresno. The remains were cremated.
