Elizabeth `Betty' Hinman, 73;  Patterson native Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Hinman died Dec. 30 at her Modesto home.  She
was 73.  A native of Patterson, she had lived in Modesto for many years.  She was retired after working as a teacher's aide
for the Sylvan School District and was a member of the Bethel Church.  Survivors include a daughter, Karen Headings of
Modesto; two sons, Timothy of San Jose and Bryan Hinman of Glendale; five grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren; a brother, Bill Totman of Salida; and a sister, Julianne Thorkelson of Patterson.  A memorial service was
held Jan. 3 at Bethel Church in Modesto.  Remembrances should be sent to Community Hospice, 601 McHenry Ave.,
