El Solyo Ranch Employee Dies in Modesto; Jack Hoffman, 38, El Solyo Ranch employee, passed away at a Modesto
hospital Thursday of last week as a result of injuries incurred ten days previous when he was struck by a car driven by H.
E. Maydoyle of Marysville. Hoffman had alighted from a bus on the Maze Highway to return to the ranch and stepped
into the path of the other car, incurring internal injuries, as well as fractures and other wounds
