Gustine s First Librarian Dies at Age of 91; Gustine - Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Tuesday,at 10 a.m.
in the Evans-Krieger Funeral Chapel in Gustine for Carrie Holst, 91, Gustine s first librarian, who died Saturday
at West Side Community Hospital. She was a native of the Gustine-Newrnan area and had served as Gustine s
librarian for 35 years. She is survived by her son, Ernest, of Kelseyville; three daughters, Evelyn Pascoe and
Eleanor Cassity, both of Gustine, and Carol Raven of Patterson; a sister, Gussie Petersen of Gustine; four
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Hills Ferry Cemetery.  The family requests
remembrances be made to the Gustine Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor s choice.
