Final Riles Held For lsobel Homen; Rosary was recited Tuesday night at Evans Chapel for Isobel Homen, 74, who passed
away Sunday morning at Del Puerto Hospital after an extended illness. A procession left the chapel at 9:30 Wednesday
morning and proceeded to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Funeral Mass.  Interment was in the family plot at Hills Ferry
Cemetery in Newman. A native of Terceira, Azore Islands, Mrs. Homen moved to this community 44 years ago.  She was
a member of SPRSI 121 of Patterson, UPPEC, Altar Society and of the Third Order of St. Francis. She was preceded in
death by her husband in 1921 and by a son, Joseph Homen, two years ago. Surviving are two sons, Frank of Patterson and
Tony of Stockton; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Rose of Gustine and Mrs. Ernest Rose of Patterson; 15 grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.
