Eva Hood, Pioneer, Dies Sunday; An early pioneer of the Patterson community, Mrs. Hood, was buried Wednesday
afternoon at the Cemetery in Newman. Mrs. Hood very active in later life in the Federated Church here, was a native of
Nebraska.  She came to Patterson in 1911. For many years the local woman was a representative of the Salvation Army.
She was in ill health from some time. Mrs. Hood is survived by one daughter, Eileen Noble of Alynn, Washington.
Services were held Wednesday at the Federated Church with Rev. Albert W. Foster officiating.
