Vern Hooper Dies at Home after Illness; Funeral services were held Tuesday at Evans Funeral Chapel for Vern C.
Hooper, Sr., 66, who died Saturday at his home, 15801 Chestnut Ave., after a long illness.  Interment was in Patterson
District Cemetery. A native of Kansas, Mr. Hooper had lived here 29 years.  He was a retired Patterson Water District
employee. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Hooper; three sons, Vern, Jr., and Dwayne Hooper of Patterson and Allan
Hooper of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Anita Jackson of Patterson and Mrs. Alice Galeazzi of Modesto; a sister,
Mrs.  Mildred Parker of Sacramento, and three grandchildren.
