Horr Henry B 261224 p1 Old-Time Resident of County Passes; Henry B. Horr, a resident of Stanislaus county for his entire life of 73 years, passed away Saturday at a Modesto hospital following a long illness. His death breaks a link with the earliest days of the pioneers in this county, as his father was one of the pioneer settlers, the old Horr ranch near Empire city on the Tuolumne being a familiar word since 1850. His oldest brother, Ben, was the first white child born in the county. A peculiar coincidence in connection with his death is the fact that it occurred on his 73 birthday, and two years ago, his brother, John, passed away, also on his 73 birthday. The family has held a ranch in Del Puerto canyon since the early days also, so they are pioneers of this district as well. The deceased was one of six brothers, three of whom, John, Frank and Charlie, are deceased while three, Ben of Palo Alto, Will B. of San Jose, and Albert P. of Patterson survive. Henry was making his home with the latter at the time of his death. The widow also survives. They have six children - Mrs. W. F. Hanell and Mrs. H. Sykes of Patterson; Mrs. Jose ? Livermore; and John ? Charley Horr. Funeral services were held ?day morning with Dr. ? presiding and interment at Del Puerto cemetery. Davis & Evans have charge of arrangements.
