Michael Edwin Housewright
08/09/1943 � 09/16/2008
A private family celebration of life will be conducted for Michael Housewright 
of Patterson, who died Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Housewright, 65, was a native of Patterson and was in the Patterson High 
School Class of 1961. After graduation, he spent the rest of his life working 
and playing as a hay hauler and truck driver. In recent years, he and his dog, 
Elmo, enjoyed hauling hay together to Nevada.
In addition to loving his work, Mr. Housewright had a passion for reading and 
discussing history, science, philosophy and psychology. His greatest pleasure 
was spending time with his grandchildren.
His family described Mr. Housewright as a brilliant, vibrant, unique man who 
found incredible joy, awe and excitement in learning and life.
Mr. Housewright is survived by his mother, Violet Housewright of Patterson; 
brother, Pat Housewright of Modesto; sister, Joyce Housewright Reichmuth of 
Patterson; son, Chris Housewright; daughters, Annie Housewright, Corie Baranski 
and Kristy Ibarra; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacie Housewright; and father, Edwin 
Housewright.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave, Patterson, is handling 
arrangements.
