Hunt Gerrald 970116 p8 Amelia Hunt, 79; A combined service will be held next Monday in Newman for retired teachers Gerrald and Amelia Russo Hunt, both 79, who were stain in their home last Monday. They were known by many in the Patterson area and had resided in Newman for over 40 years. Gerrald Hunt was a native of Bimidji, Minn. He was an avid golfer and a champion curler. He served as principal of Yolo Junior High in Newman before retirement and was a member of Phi Delta. Amelia Hunt was a native of Virginia, Minn., and had served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War If. She had been a special needs teacher, counselor and English teacher during her career in education, and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Orestimba High School gymnasium, where a Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. Burial in Hills Ferry Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman They are survived by a daughter, Lois C. Miranda of Modesto, two grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. Gerrald Hunt's survivors include three brothers, Jimmy of Miami, and Jack and Harry Hunt, both of Biruidji, Minn.; and three sisters, Vivian Baltzell oh Rock Springs, Wyo., and Lilia Baltzell and Dorothy Baltzell, both of Cour 'de Laine, Idaho.
