Aretha P. Hunter, 80; Aretha P. Hunter, who moved to Patterson in late 1992 with her husband and lived in Las Palmas
Mobile Estates, died Sunday at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.  The 80-year old had been ill for some time.  A
native of Carthage, Mo., she had worked as a secretary for many years before retiring, including for the health department
in Bellflower, Kern General Hospital in Bakersfield, and the Boy Scouts of America council office in Bakersfield.  The
couple moved here from Parker, Ariz.  She enjoyed crafts, painting and sewing.  Survivors include her husband of 60
years, Herbert L. Hunter of Patterson; a son and daughter, Stephen L. Hunter and Brenda S. Hickey, both of Modesto;
one grandchild and one great-grandchild.  The Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers,
remembrances should be sent to Greater Yosemite Council, Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 30686, Stockton, Calif.
