Patterson Irrigator, 12/01/2007, p 16 Jose Guadalupe Navarrete May 2,1981 � Nov. 28,2007 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday for Jose Guadalupe Navarrete of Westley, who died Wednesday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. Mr. Navarrete, 76, was a native of Mexico and lived in Westley for 45 years. He worked as a farm laborer for 30 years and was last employed with labor con�tractor Juan Salinas. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. He was an avid gardener, and he enjoyed his family. Mr. Navarrete is survived by his wile, Elena Navarrete of Westley; sons, Tony Navarrete and Ismael Navarrete, both of Modesto, Leandro Navarrete of Turlock, Armondo Navarrete of Patterson, Daniel Navarrete of Westley and Saul Navarrete of San Francisco; daughters, Elena Cantu and Lupe Navarrete, both of Modesto; brothers, Pedro Navarrete, Eduardo Navarrete, Nicholas Navarrete, Julian Navarrete and Felipe Navarrete, all of Mexico; sisters, Irene Pasillas of Riverbank, Estella Ramos of Turlock, Antonia Connelly of Dos Palos and Gloria Magallianes and Lucia Lizardi, both of Mexico; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Tuesday�s Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. Burial will follow in Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, in Patterson. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., followed by the recitation of a rosary at 7 p.m.
