Service Held for Mother of Patterson Woman; A funeral service was held last Friday in Modesto for the mother of a
Patterson woman. Rose Navarro, 59, died Dec. 31 after a short illness.  The service was held at Salas Brothers Funeral
Chapel with burial in Ceres Cemetery. She was a native of Brawley and had lived in Modesto since 1937.  She was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Modesto. Survivors include her husband, Robert S. Navarro of Modesto; two sons,
Thomas of Ceres and John Navarro of Modesto; four daughters, Ruth Sierra of Patterson, Jennie Sierra of Union City,
Rosalinda Modrell of Ceres, and Pauline Lopez of Battle Creek, Mich., a brother; 23 grandchildren, and one great-
grandchild.
