Service Held for Bonnie Neill; A funeral service was held last Friday morning in Turlock for Bonnie Bell Neill, 68, who
died Aug. 26 in Modesto. A native of Oklahoma, she taught school in the Solano Beach School District for 10 years
before moving to Crows Landing.  She earned her master's degree from Colorado State University, and for 11 years was
a field director for the Girl Scouts. The service was held at Whitehurst Norton Chapel in Turlock. Survivors include two
sisters, Maysie Brooksher of San Diego and Faye Grinter of Oklahoma; and three brothers, Carson and Joe Howerton of
Texas and Barney Howerton of Crows Landing. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimers
Foundation, 801 Roseburg Ave., Suite 166, Modesto.
