Nickel J LeRoy Sr 370625 p6 Son-In-Law of Henry Miller Dies; J. Leroy Nickel, Sr., son-in-law of the late Henry Miller, died suddenly of a heart attack at this home in Menlo Park on last Thursday evening. Funeral services were held on Saturday, when all activities of the Miller and Lux company ceased in observance of the rites. Nickel was for many years general manager of Miller & Lux, Inc., retiring in 1925 to become chairman of the board of directors, continuing to hold this position until his death. He maintained his officers in San Francisco during this period and made his home in Menlo Park. As general manager of the firm he was active in the development of the company's interest on the West Side, and was at one time president of banks in Los Banos and Gustine. He was 86 years old. He is survived by two sons, George W. Nickel of Palo Alto and J. Leroy Nickel Jr., of San Francisco, and a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Bowles of San Francisco.
